These prayers for faith and trust in God will greatly help you in your personal walk with the Lord. We all stumble at times, but how sweet it is to return to His loving arms and ask for His help and guidance to trust Him all the more.
We need God’s divine help In order to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Let us approach His Throne in boldness and ask our great God for what we need.
Let us pray.
Prayer for Faith
Lord Jesus, we come before You today and ask You for more faith. Our hearts have fallen away, but O, how we wish to return to the Author and Perfector of our faith. Lord, we believe, please help our unbelief!
Look into our hearts and see the longing behind this plea. Do not let us grow cold, but light us on fire, that through our faith, others might be inspired in their faith as well.
Grow our faith as a child, that we might believe all things.
Prayer for Trust in God
God, we ask You for trust, that You might grow our hearts into that of a little child who trusts You absolutely and without question. Give us a zeal for Your Word and solid faith that what You have spoken is absolute Truth. Lord, grow us into a people who declare with our Lord, “Sanctify us by Thy truth; Thy Word is the truth!”
Help us to look unto Jesus, who is Himself the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Teach our hearts to trust in Him. Reveal to us the enduring faithfulness of the Son of God, that we might walk in confidence and full commitment to Him.
Prayer for Renewal of Belief
Lord, we ask for renewal, that You breathe upon us and awaken us to the majesty of Your glory. Soak our hearts and minds in Your Living Water and allow us to drink so that we never are thirsty again. Take us back to the Rock from whence we were hewn and remind us who we are in You, namely the children of God.
Refresh us, Lord, and lead us by Your still waters. Restore our souls! How often we are weary and worn, but if You are with us, nothing is impossible.
Prayer for Revival
Lord Jesus, revive our hearts, our souls, our minds, and our strength to chase after You with every breath in our lungs. You have promised to those who seek You that You will be found. O, come and fulfill that promise in us today!
We have been so dry for so long.
Forgive us, sweet Lord of Glory! Ignite us to burn solely for You, that our fire might spread and bring Your Kingdom to the people of God.
Sweep through our hearts, our families, and Your Church and prepare us for Your coming. We know one day You shall return and we must be ready! Help us to that end, and compel Your children to watch and pray.
Prayer for Wisdom and Faith
Precious Father, we ask You for wisdom, and You have promised to give it abundantly. We do not wish to love You wrongly or with false doctrine. Teach us of You and open our eyes to Your Scriptures.
We cannot know You by our feelings, therefore we ask You to grow us in knowledge and wisdom of Your Word. It is there You have revealed Yourself, and there we must find You. Keep our minds focused on our Lord Jesus Christ, in Whom is hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Grow us into solid oaks, rooted and grounded in You, that we are not fooled by every wind of doctrine. Never let us follow the wisdom of this world, but the wisdom of God. Though God’s wisdom is foolish to men, let us stand bold and not turn aside from the blessed truth of the cross of our Lord.
Prayer for Hope
Lord God, along with these prayers, we also pray for hope. Allow us to always find our hope in You. We do not wait upon our God in some misguided confidence but in the hope of glory!
The faith of which we request of You is the assurance of things hoped for, therefore, we ask You to pour this hope into our souls until our hearts runneth over.
Let our faith be peppered with this golden hope which abides in the truth of our precious Lord Jesus. Never let hope leave our hearts as long as we gaze upon our beautiful Savior.
Prayer for Love of God
Finally, Lord Jesus, we ask You for love, not only to love You more and more with every beat of our hearts but also to love our brethren and our church as You love them, that we might serve them also in both faith and hope. Teach us this magnificent virtue of love, for it is love whereby we are known as children of God. Not only that, but You are love, and we cannot be Your children if we do not love others as well.
Ultimately, Lord, we know our love for God is what shall fuel our faith and trust in You. Stir our hearts within us, Lord Jesus, and may Your Holy Spirit teach us to love God above and beyond any other love we’ve ever known. Help us to find in You the wonder and the majesty we have been missing in our Christian walk.
Build us into disciples of Christ, solid, mature, loving, in hope, renewed, revived, with wisdom, trust, and perfect faith. This is what we ask the King of Heaven. Nothing is impossible for you, Lord, therefore come and pour Your love upon us and lavish us with the riches of Your grace.
Thank You, God, for hearing us and for moving in our hearts this day. You see us and we are Yours.
