Betrayal is one of the most painful experiences that someone can go through. It feels like a cold knife slicing through your heart. Betrayal can leave you feeling isolated and alone. But you are not alone. The Bible has many verses about betrayal that can offer comfort and hope.
These Bible verses for betrayal tell us about the importance of loyalty. They tell us about how betrayal is immoral and can make us lose faith in God. We should not be loyal to people who are disloyal to us, but we should always be loyal to God.
“Bad company corrupts good character.” (1 Corinthians 15:33 , ESV).

Verses
Proverbs 19:5
A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will not escape.
Have you been betrayed by someone you held dear to you? Our Lord, the creator of heaven and earth, sees your pain and knows about your broken heart. You must allow him to treat your wounded spirit.
Do not feel alone in these times, for Jesus was also betrayed. Those who betray you are controlled by a powerful enemy; he is imprisoned in his own hell. Be free by releasing them from your wrath, for Jesus endured the cross for your liberation.
The Lord cares, and He loves you. Do not seek vengeance and turn to the Lord instead.
Romans 5:6
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
The emotional pain of betrayal may feel heavier than any physical pain you’ve ever felt. What matters is how you choose to mend these wounds. As worldly creatures, we often want to get revenge, either physically or through our thoughts.
In moments of clouded judgment, we have to be still. We need to forget about the circumstance and concentrate on Christ. Replaying the betrayal in our mind will only cause us further anger, anger that we want to release.
All of our troubles must be presented to the Lord. He will quiet our inner turmoil. We must imitate Christ, who was betrayed as well. We need to open our eyes to how much God has pardoned us in the past.
Proverbs 27:6
Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But deceitful are the kisses of an enemy.
God asks all of his children to be merciful, even to those who have hurt them. We must lean on the Spirit to give us rest. Even if it is difficult, we must ask for help from the Holy Spirit in loving our enemies and in driving out any resentment and rage from our hearts.
Recognize that God will use every challenging situation we encounter for His higher purpose. Even if someone has used ill will against you, God still means everything for good.
Psalm 109:4
In return for my love they accuse me, but I give myself to prayer.
When you focus on Christ, He will give you an incredible sense of love and peace. Find a peaceful area. Scream to God. Allow God to ease your suffering. Pray for your traitor in the same way that Christ prayed for His foes.
True spiritual calm is an inner power that gives its recipient unwavering hope for the future. The calm that the Holy Spirit bestows upon us allows us to see the bigger picture. This lets us find comfort in knowing that God has a plan and is bringing everything together for our ultimate good. We can then let go of our grievances.
Psalm 41:9
Even my close friend in whom I trusted, Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.
Attaining peace may be difficult. It requires us to do it with our own strength and power. We won’t be able to find peace if we try to force it. We must learn to let go of our grievances. Free your anxieties through prayer. Build a stronger relationship with God and remember that His path for us will prevail.
Our desired solution to a problem might not be the correct one. We must trust our sovereign Lord that everything is under His control. In this way, we may find peace even in difficult circumstances that we may not fully understand.

Dear Lord God,
Please forgive my transgressions towards you, and please also forgive the transgressions of anyone who may have done anything to me or any other person at all. I ask that you rebuke these people for their bad behavior toward us here on Earth. Please give them a strong sense of shame for what they have done. I ask this in your name,
Amen.

If you are the one who has been betrayed, the Bible tells us to forgive people who trespass against us. That isn’t always easy but it is what God teaches us. God’s forgiveness for our sins is so great and many times we let the hurt of betrayal keep us away from praying, reading the word of God or attending church services.
Just because God tells us to forgive that doesn’t mean it’s right to betray someone.

Submit Your Prayer
Have your prayer for betrayal submitted all over the world:
In many ways, betrayal can bring people closer together as they lean on each other through their pain and share encouragement with one another. The good news is that no matter what happens, you have someone watching over you all day long-the best friend anyone could ever ask for.
