Your sickness shall be healed if it is following God’s will. These Bible verses for healing sickness help remind us that the Lord is watching over us and shall never forsake us.
However, God may not always will someone’s physical healing. Even with earnest prayers and unwavering trust in God’s ability to heal, no healing will take place if it is not God’s choice to do so.
This scripture gives us an insight into God’s will and his ability to heal us (or why it might not happen). You could combine these words from the Bible with a prayer to Archangel Michael for healing.

What Does the Bible Say About Healing Sickness?
James 5:14
Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.
God’s blessings can manifest in ways apart from physical healing. A person’s lack of faith does not result in their sickness. You may experience hardships in health that God may use to further His purpose.
God heals using both natural and supernatural methods.
God created the capacity of our bodies to fend off disease. He also created paths for people to go on and serve as doctors and scientists.
Exodus 23:25
Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
If it is in line with His lawful will, The Lord will choose to intervene supernaturally to cure your sickness in place of medication and physicians.
Rejecting scientific treatment for your sickness can imply rejecting God’s chosen channel of healing. Do you find yourself asking, “Will God heal me?”
The answer can sometimes be yes, soon, or no.
Matthew 25:36
I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
God alone determines the ending; not every circumstance has a happy resolution like Job’s in the Bible, who had his health and fortune restored beyond anything he had ever known.
Remember this. The Lord has the power to heal. He has proved his miraculous healing in the bible. Nothing is impossible for Him. Thus it is only right to hope for and pray for recovery.
Matthew 25:43
I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.
Avoid mystical, occult practices and any spirituality that derives from a source other than our true God. However, always accept other ways he chooses to extend His help and healing.
Those who will heal you through God don’t have to be Christians since He is at work within you, doing both good and evil as it pleases Him.
God is in charge. He has the authority to carry out his will because he is the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
Whatever suffering we experience, we have faith that God can step in, redeem it, and bring about its end.
God is not just all-knowing but also intimate. He is concerned about us, and He loves us.
He tilts his head to hear his people’s pleas. God asks us to pray to him and promises to grant our requests. The Lord hears the cries of the righteous and relieves them from all their problems.
Peter 2:24
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
Our God is a merciful God. We can see that He is a loving Father who knows best and wants what is best for his children.
He exposes who He is and what He is about in Scripture.
If He decides not to cure us, we can have faith that He is aware of something that we are unaware of and that one day He will finally put an end to pain and death for all.
John 4:46
Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum.
Suffering can and will be used by God to carry out his purpose and bring glory to himself.
You may ask, “Why does a believer get hurt or sick despite their sincere prayers?”
The truth is that He sometimes allows us to endure and experience disease, illness, and suffering as part of His perfect plan for our life.
He can use pain to teach us lessons that we would never be able to learn through living comfortably. Sometimes, He could not be imparting any lessons at all but rather encouraging his kids to become closer to Him and put greater trust in Him.
Psalm 147:3
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Our healed selves develop independence from God, pride, and forgetfulness. Physical or emotional suffering frequently draws a person to Jesus, sometimes for the first time.
Through suffering, God shapes fortifies and strengthens us. Nothing compares to the sensation of being consoled by God alone during that difficult time.
We are not qualified to determine what is just. This scripture is similar to the Bible verses on protection from disease, we can pray for the protection and health of ourselves and our loved ones but, ultimately, we cannot know his plan.
Ezekiel 34:4
You have not strengthened the weak or healed the sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strays or searched for the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally.
So frequently, when we pray to the Lord, we only tend to ask for our wants.
We wish for the remission of our loved one’s illness, the resolution of domestic disputes, the cure of someone’s depression, and the disappearance of our physical pain.
We ask God to keep us safe from any harm, and if he can’t, then to at least cure us.
These are normal wants, but people might get angry when God decides not to answer their prayers or does so at a speed that is not convenient to the believer.
Jeremiah 17:14
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.
When disease strikes close to home and hits hard, many lose their faith and complain that it’s not fair.
The false doctrine that God always wants to heal every illness hurts people deeply, and when God really decides not to heal, it may cause remorse and disappointment for the one suffering.
God cares more about spiritual healing.
Beyond the restoration of our bodies, the gospel provides hope.
Luke 6:19
And the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.
Even though we have rebelled against the Lord our God, he is gracious and forgiving.
More than anything else, we needed our relationship with the Father to be restored, and Christ has made that possible for everyone who trusts in him to be saved.
Christ made it possible for the rest of us to be fully healed.
As Christians, we shall all undergo such magnificent, eternal healing in Heaven that our sorrow on earth will be forgotten when we pass away.
That day is coming, as God promises.
