God is a healer, but He doesn’t always lead us along the path of healing. These Bible verses for protection from a disease will help us to understand His will and keep us (and our loved ones) safe.
He sometimes allows us to endure suffering, illness, and hardship as part of His divine plan for our lives. He can use pain to teach us lessons that we would never be able to learn through reading a book, attending a seminar, or living comfortably.
If you are struggling, you could offer the Lord a prayer for God’s help, or if it’s someone else in your life, you could offer a prayer for healing a friend on their behalf.

What Does the Bible Say About Protection From Disease?
James 5:14
Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.
The power of God in the midst of hardships is responsible for some of the greatest gifts in our world.
Through hardship, God shapes, fortifies and strengthens us. Nothing compares to the sense of being consoled by God alone in that difficult time.
The important thing is to keep in mind that God’s plans are superior to ours.
When we are afflicted with a disease, illness, or accident, we frequently just think about our own pain.
It is challenging to concentrate on what good God could bring about as a consequence when going through trials.
Exodus 23:25
Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
The Bible teaches us that God can make good come from any circumstance.
Many people view their period of illness as a time when they deepened their relationship with God, increased their confidence in Him, or discovered how to genuinely cherish life.
This is God’s viewpoint since He is sovereign and knows the end result.
The mistaken doctrine that God always desires to cure everyone has caused a tremendous deal of harm to people.
Jeremiah 33:6
Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security.
For people who are suffering, this idea can lead to shame and despair.
Christians may believe that they are sinful or that they didn’t trust in God strongly enough as a result of this.
This false doctrine has caused Christians to lose faith.
We must accept that sometimes God just has other plans for us that do not involve immediate healing or problem-solving.
God still cares for us. He still has a plan. And He still has a deep purpose for that suffering that may end up rewarding us in ways we could never have dreamed of.
Mark 3:10
for He had healed many, with the result that all those who had afflictions pressed around Him in order to touch Him.
God often decides to heal.
But occasionally, when we travel the dark mile of pain, He teaches us more and brings us nearer.
It is crucial that we turn to God in the middle of the storm rather than away from Him to enjoy such blessings.
God doesn’t always cause disease, and He doesn’t do it to impart a moral lesson to us. Sickness, disease, and death will always be a part of life in a world stained by sin.
Psalm 41:3
The Lord will sustain him upon his sickbed In his illness, You restore him to health.
We are fallen beings with bodily structures prone to sickness and disease. Some illnesses are only the outcome of the world’s natural processes.
Illness can also be caused by a demonic attack. The Bible shows several occasions where Satan and his demons brought about physical suffering.
Some illnesses are caused by Satan rather than God. However, God is still in charge even in these situations.
God’s gentle punishment can sometimes take the form of illness.
Deuteronomy 7:15
The Lord will remove from you all sickness and He will not put on you any of the harmful diseases of Egypt which you have known, but He will lay them on all who hate you.
We find it difficult to understand why God would work in this way. But if one believes in God’s omnipotence, there is no other possibility baut that pain is something God permits or produces.
Consider suffering from God’s point of view. God afflicts some individuals because of their faith.
People learn about God’s commands as a result of suffering and begin to follow His Word.
Dealing with illness and suffering is never simple. We shouldn’t let illness make us question God’s existence.
Matthew 25:36
naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.
Even while we are hurting, God is still good. Death, the greatest kind of pain, is a manifestation of God’s goodness.
Whatever happens in life, we are only accountable for how we respond. Whether the Lord gives us the bad or the good, we must be mindful to glorify Him in both cases.
There is no doubt that the same God who created everything also maintains everything in line with his purposes and plans. Let us trust in God with all of our hearts.
Luke 6:19
And the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.
Even though we experience suffering in this life, God can and will utilize it to further his purposes and bring glory to himself.
Jesus himself serves as our model in this regard since He cried out to God in anguish before He was crucified. He prayed to be relieved of suffering, but only if it was God’s will and purpose.
Remember that one day, we shall all be cured.
Acts 19:12
So that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.
Although we will all pass away at some point, when we do so as Christians we shall all undergo such magnificent, eternal healing that we will forget our sorrow on earth.
There is no reason to be worried.
For a disciple of Christ, terror has no place in our worldview. We will not live in this world forever.
Our hope is in Jesus Christ since He has not only conquered sin, death, the grave, and hell but is also alive and listening to our prayers right now.
