A Prayer for a New Job
I will repeat this prayer until I am in my new job so that you will hear my plea in my time of need. I thank you for everything you have given me up to now I know that you have graced me with your generosity and love and have put my hands to work. I understand Lord God that you have taught us that idle hands find work for the devil. I am not idle Lord I want a new job so that I can honor you with the work I do. I am hardworking and committed to doing a good job and take pride in my work and I thank you for the talents you have given me. I need to find a new job so that I can use those talents to serve you and show my love to you. You know Lord that I am hardworking, that I dedicate myself to doing the best possible job. I apply myself and am diligent. As I read in the bible “The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied” I am earnest in everything I do and am looking for my reward for these efforts. I will be diligent in my new role and please you with my efforts. This prayer for a new job is a plea to you Lord God to take me by the hand and show me what the next part of my life looks like. I want to work hard in this new job to help move my life forward. I praise you in your wisdom for you set me on life’s path and look after me throughout my life. I trust you will hold me steadfast in my course and support me in making the right decisions. I need this change Lord to give me peace of mind and freedom from worries about day-to-day things. I need to be amongst like-minded people and to put my energies into my job happily so that I go about my daily job with a happy mindset and can bring kindness and care to those around me. When we bring goodwill to our work we are serving God not money, there cannot be two masters Lord and when we are happy in our work we are working to do a good job and serve you with our toil. When the work is miserable we are serving only money. I seek to serve you first. I want to be successful in my work so that I can serve you all the more, providing for my family and sharing my wealth and the fruits of my labors. A new job would put me in a better place in my life and with you Lord, It would mean all these aspirations to take care of those around me, to be worry-free, to commit myself happily to my labor could come true. I can be free to praise you and share my love for you with others around me. In all this I work to praise you, Lord God, to share your goodness, to accept your wisdom and to follow the path you have chosen for me. I accept that the road to a new job can be rocky, I am prepared to follow your will Lord and take all the steps necessary to secure myself and my family in success. I will follow your will in all of this Lord and be completely guided by you in how I achieve this next step. Please God hear my prayer for a new job with an open heart, listen to my intent to please you and work hard to make a success of the next steps in my life. Help me now take the right steps towards a new life. Lord hear my fervent prayer.
