Christians can offer a prayer for thanking God to show Him gratitude for all the blessings he has bestowed upon us.
Whether we are grateful for prayer being answered or just simply for the life he placed before us, offering a gratitude prayer is our way of saying thank you to Him.

Lord, we pray together this morning to express our thanks for your love and presence. None of us are perfect and we know it but still, you watch over us.
There is no limit to your love for us and we want to give thanks to You oh Lord.
We are thankful for everything you have given us. Every opportunity that is still before us. Every moment you watch over us and every prayer you listen to.
We are thankful for each new morning, for the food on our plates and for the people in our life. Lord, we are thankful for Your divine grace. We bow our heads in acceptance of Your love and blessings.

This verse provides us with an important lesson about giving thanks to God. First and foremost, we should be thankful to God because of His righteousness.
As we know, God is perfect in all His ways and His righteousness is beyond compare. When we give thanks to God for His righteousness, we are acknowledging His perfection and acknowledge that He is worthy of our praise.
