A prayer for pain relief is the most natural response we can have when we love God. We turn to God in our most terrible moments for solace and strength. Let us turn now to the Lord God Almighty as he heals the sick and brings strength and peace to us in desperate moments.

Dear Lord,
I come to you today seeking relief from pain. I know that you are the Great Physician and that you can heal my body. I ask for your divine healing power to touch me now. I believe that you have the power to make me whole.
I give you all my aches and pains, knowing that you can take them from me. I release all my fears and worries into your loving care. I trust that you will give me the strength to face whatever challenges I may face.
I thank you, Lord, for your love and care. I know that you will never leave me or forsake me. I am forever grateful for your presence and healing in my life.

Heavenly Father, I come to You today in need of Your healing touch.

Lord, it is often in our hour of need that we turn to you as a source of healing and help. This you ask us to do as you are always there for us. You heal the sick and injured and you carry us in our pain.
I am turning to you now to beg you to help me in my time of pain. It feels like I cannot take it anymore and I have nowhere else to turn. You are the merciful Lord who brings me strength and gets me through the days when I feel helpless and alone.
This pain can be unbearable and the days feel long, and nights are longer when it stops me from sleeping and robs me of rest. I cannot concentrate on anything and I am often helpless.
I hate to burden people with my needs and my sadness and I am so low in my mood because of my pain it all builds up in my head and my heart.
I know that you are full of love for me and that you have carried me many times when I needed you. I am thankful for your presence in my life and for the care and protection you have given me.
I am grateful for all the times you have helped me, especially when I have not noticed your hand in my life and I may not have given you thanks and praise for your support.
I am grateful for your love and attention Lord and ask you now in my hour of real and desperate need to ease my pain and allow me to sleep and to heal.
Right now I am really struggling with pain and find it hard to think of anything else, this is dominating my life and I am hurting physically and mentally.
You are a great and merciful God and I know when your son was sent to us he healed lepers and helped the crippled walk again, there are so many wonderful miracles he worked.
I know that I have been tested many times in my life Lord, and I am being severely tested now.
The bible tells us ‘when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness’
I am surely steadfast in my faith, Lord. I have never wavered in my love for you no matter what has been happening in my life. I love you now Lord, and I give you praise for everything you have provided for me.
The pain I feel right now is crippling my body, my heart and my soul. I feel so sore and so tired of this pain.I am heartfelt sorry to ask you to intervene on my behalf when I know you have so many demands on you already.
Lord, I know that you are merciful and you are all-powerful. I ask for your intercession to help with this pain. Give me strength to bear this both bodily and emotionally and lead me towards healing and rest. I want to go back to the strength I once had.
If it pleases you Lord you might give me some bodily relief. It would be amazing if I could have some relief from this pain and more comfort and joy in my life.
It is so difficult to cope with this pain I find it hard to carry on daily life with any pleasure at all, This is crippling and debilitating. My life is shrinking because I am unable to carry on with a full and peaceful life.
I love you, Lord. I try to follow your commands and live the way you have shown us. You sent your only son to be crucified here on earth, to suffer torment and pain. Jesus did all this with grace and love, he accepted his suffering for all our sakes.
His death was payment for the evil that stalks the earth praying on the weak. He rose again to join you at your side.
Jesus, you understand the pain and suffering more than anyone, you know the terrible path I follow and how lonely it is. I ask you to reach down your hand and hold mine in comfort and bring me some ease from this torment.
Help me towards better health and happiness so that I may praise you more Lord and bear witness to your care and intervention.
I ask this in humility and love for you.

Praying for healing and forgiveness has always been part of our lives since the time of Jesus. We need to remember that the mind and spirit work together towards healing.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me – Philippians 4:13
A lovely reminder here that when we pray for help no matter what afflictions or pain and suffering we have we need to remember that anything is possible with God giving us the strength to get through it. He only gives us what he thinks we can bear.
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us – Romans 5:3-5
Praying for hope is the of the most wonderful things we can do when we pray to God to help us, God’s love gives that hope which allows us to endure anything in his name. It builds us as Christians to rely on God’s love to give us strength and hope, we are being tested by him.
Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good – Peter 4:19
