Hopelessness is one of the worst feelings a person could ever have. It’s a deep pit that devours even the strongest. And it takes time to help someone out of it so offering a daily prayer for hopelessness is a powerful tool that Christians can use.
Many people are mired in hopelessness with all the misery, crisis, and troubles in this world. We need to stand in the gap and intercede for our friends, family, and even strangers. Jesus is our only hope in this lost world. We need to turn to Him.

Prayer Against Hopelessness
God our Father in Heaven, we stand before You in prayer, humble before Your great presence. We pray for those who feel they have lost all hope in their lives. Lord Jesus, You said that whenever two or three are gathered in Your Name, there You will be. We humbly ask for Your presence beside us. We know that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective, yet we claim no righteousness of our own other than the righteousness of our Lord Jesus. Lord, we pray for those who are feeling hopeless right now. Cover them with Your Spirit of comfort and fill their hearts with peace. Let them feel Your presence and Your love. We know how difficult it is to recover from hopelessness. We know how dark the days may seem. We know how it can be discouraging when everything seems to be falling apart. And the Lord Jesus knows how they feel. We pray that they will remember that You, Lord, went through dark days of Your own. You’re disciples abandoned You. Everyone around You wanted You dead. The Lord was beaten, His clothes ripped off, and His body pierced. And there was no one around who could help You. We pray that those who are suffering from despair and hopelessness know that the Lord suffered that way too. And He overcame it. We pray that they will overcome it, too, because the Lord will lend His comfort and strength. May the Lord send You his angels and His people to comfort and embolden them. May they see that the days ahead are not dark. Let the Word of the Lord be the lamp upon their feet and light unto their path. Find comfort in God’s presence. May they be connected to a church that can serve as a light when times seem dark. Lord, hear their cries and come swiftly to their aid. Open their hearts so that they can hear the voice of the Holy Spirit that dwells in them. When they are thinking dark thoughts, expel the voice of the enemy and let them focus their thoughts on what is pure and good. Let them place their burdens on You because You promised that those who are heavily laden would get a yoke that is light. There is nothing impossible for You, Lord. If it’s a sickness that causes them despair, heal their bodies completely. If it’s debts and money problems, shower them with overflowing blessings. If it’s toxic relationships, show them a way out. We know nothing is beyond Your power, Lord God. You are our Healer, our Provider, and our Strong Tower. We come to You by faith that You will answer the cries of the desperate swiftly and without delay. May You have mercy on us, Lord, and answer our prayer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. And God’s people said, “Amen!”.

Short Prayer For Hopelessness
Father in heaven, we pray for those who feel trapped in hopelessness. We pray that You quickly come to their aid and cover them with Your spirit of mercy and comfort. Send Your angels, Lord, to minister to them and attend to their needs. Renew their hearts and uplift their spirits, for they feel like they are almost ready to give up. Show them a better way to deal with their troubles and let them know that they have a God who loves them. May You have mercy on them and be with them always; in Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Lord God, Heavenly Father, we lift up and pray for those suffering from hopelessness and depression. Heal their burdened hearts and illuminate their minds with Your guiding light.
