There is a master that can consume your attention and lead you away into spending time with the Lord and your family. That is money – especially the lack of it. It’s a big problem that can consume a person but know that God owns everything, and He can easily wipe away your concerns if you pray for money problems.
Although our money problems will not instantly disappear with a single prayer, what happens next is more important. You should not only wish that your money problems will disappear but that you grow as a better steward of God’s blessings.

God our Father in Heaven, we stand before You in prayer, humble before Your great presence. We pray for those dealing with money problems in their lives. Lord Jesus, You said that whenever two or three are gathered in Your Name, there You will be. We humbly ask for Your presence beside us. We know that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective, yet we claim no righteousness of our own other than the righteousness of our Lord Jesus. We stand in the gap and ask for forgiveness on behalf of those who did not wisely handle Your blessings. Forgive them for their mistakes and for falling into the temptation of overspending on worldly possessions. We pray that they will recognize their shortcomings and repent from their worldly ways. Please help them to resist the temptations and no longer conform to the patterns of this world. Transform them daily to focus more on what is eternal. Yet we recognize, Lord, that as long as we live in this world, we will need money. You have not made money to be evil, but the love of money is what ensnares people to commit sin. So we ask, Lord, that You make them better stewards of the blessings that You generously provide them. Give them wisdom and knowledge in the proper handling of money so that they will become the masters of money and not its slave. Open doors of opportunity for their advancement in their careers or their business. Guide them in the ways to excellence in their vocations so that they may reap just rewards. Give them ways to increase their income so that they can pay off their debts completely and never need to borrow again. Let them be the lender and not the borrower. Give them inspiration and revelation on marketplace opportunities that they can take advantage of and give them the boldness to act quickly when they see these opportunities. Teach them to create storehouses for their wealth and bless their barns to overflowing. But protect them from worldly temptation and the sin of greed that can so easily ensnare a person who is not careful. Surround them with righteous leaders, mentors, and partners who will help them become good stewards and lead them away from negative influences that only seek to corrupt their hearts with worldly desires. We know, Lord, that You are the source of all wisdom and wealth in this world, and nothing is impossible for You to fix. We remain in faith that You will answer this prayer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. And God’s people said, “Amen!”.
