Pregnancy is both a joyous and scary occasion, but it becomes more alarming if there are pregnancy complications. As Christians, we need to be sensitive to the needs of expecting mothers and never hesitate to say a prayer for pregnancy complications.

God our Father in Heaven, we stand before You in prayer, humble before Your great presence. We fervently pray for those mothers who have complications in their pregnancy. Lord Jesus, You said that whenever two or three are gathered in Your Name, there You will be. We humbly ask for Your presence beside us. We know that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective, yet we claim no righteousness of our own other than the righteousness of our Lord Jesus. Lord, we celebrate the gift of life that You gave this family. We know it’s part of Your purpose to bring new life to this earth, especially for couples who have been praying intensely for a child. We pray that You will guard over this gift and that You will not allow any complication to hurt the mother or baby. Strengthen the mother and protect her womb with Your mighty hand. We declare that there is no complication that will prosper in her pregnancy. Yet, not our will but Yours be done. Even if You allow complications to happen, we are in full faith, Lord, that You will send them the best doctors that will take care of them. By faith and by the blood of Jesus that heals, we claim miraculous healing for both the mother and unborn child. Remove any risk of a difficult birth and allow the mother to bring this child into this world safely. Guide their doctors and give them the knowledge and wisdom to accomplish this. We know that any trials they may face during the pregnancy will serve to strengthen their faith in You. Let them cling to You, Lord, and reinforce their faith through the Holy Spirit that dwells in them. Give strength to the father as well. May he be sensitive in serving his wife through this season in their lives. Give him the discernment, resources, and strong will to lead his family. And even if the mother bears this child on her own, surround her with a loving family, caring friends, and Your comforting Spirit. Let her know she is not alone in this journey. Yet, we ask, if it is Your will, please spare them from this test. Remove this thorn and allow them to enjoy this season free of anxiety. In Your divine mercy, we humbly ask that You please grant this prayer in Jesus’s name. And God’s people said, “Amen!”.
