It is a lovely thought to pray for all mothers to be, to support them to feel strong during this miraculous but worrying time.

Lord, I am so happy that you have blessed me with this pregnancy. I am truly grateful you have entrusted me with this sacred act of motherhood.
As it says in Psalms ‘children are the heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him’ I feel so grateful for this wonderful joyful blessing and all I want is to bring this miracle to life.
I do not know why I have this reward from you, I have tried to keep you in my heart and follow your teachings and if this is my reward then I cannot thank you enough Lord. I will try my best to raise this child to know and follow your teachings.
I worry for my unborn child, I worry that something might happen and that my baby will not be born healthy. I understand that I need to trust you Lord to help me through this worry and to help me feel confident that I will be able to carry my child in perfect health.
Grant me peace in this pregnancy so that I may carry my child stress-free. Help me to remember your wisdom and kindness and your care for me and my baby.
You are a loving and gracious God. Your word lets us understand that motherhood is a high and worthy calling. I understand that this gift comes from you Lord, you have entrusted me with this special privilege.

I need all the strength you can give me Lord, not just physically but fill my heart with the strength to trust you fully to look after my precious baby in the womb and through childbirth. I need to lean on you now Lord so that I can do this physically and emotionally difficult thing.
The bible talks about the pain and agony of childbirth and I know what to expect, I will need you by my side Lord, holding me tightly in your arms as I bring this very special baby into the world.
All I ask is that you protect me in pregnancy and through birth. Lord God when you chose to send your son into this world you gave Mary the gift of pregnancy so that Jesus was born of woman, a true miracle for the earth.
Mary gave birth to her healthy son and you gave her your protection during that time. A miracle was born.
Each child brought into this world is God’s miracle, and I ask that you give me the strength to accept the pain that comes with childbirth so that I may honor your miracle with grace.
I cannot wait to meet the little miracle growing inside me lord. Please bless this pregnancy and make it a healthy one so that this child is born bathed in your love and light.
I need your strength and grace to approach the coming months and the birth itself with health and fortitude. It is just as important that I am healthy of mind and free from stress so that my child is free from stress. Help me also to make healthy life choices now for my baby to give him or her the best start in life.

“When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world” John 16:21
How true this is, the miracle of birth makes us forget the pain of the birth itself, pure joy.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” Philippians 4:6
This speaks to the power of prayer in relieving anxiety about childbirth and other worries, let this request through prayer be heard and anxiety removed.
“He will love you, bless you, and multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your wine and your oil, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock, in the land that he swore to your fathers to give you” Deuteronomy 7:13
What a wonderful statement, that God will bless the fruit of your womb, the love will pour forth for the newborn child, and prosperity will grow with your fruitfulness.
