Sunday Morning Prayer to Give Thanks to the Lord
Lord, thank you for all the bounty and love you have brought me this last week. I am happy that this Sabbath I am here to praise and thank you for all that you have given me. I live in your light and walk your path. Lord, you bring me all kinds of gifts, my family and friends and the gift of life itself. This Sabbath and day of rest I am taking time out to say to you Lord from the depth of my heart that I am thankful for every grace you bestow upon me. I know that you watch over me all week Lord and it is right to give you thanks and praise for all your care and love. Amen.
📖 Exodus 20:8
"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy."
Sunday Morning Prayer to Ask Forgiveness
Lord God, I ask you to look down upon me and your flock and forgive us our trespasses against you and other people in our lives. There will have been times this week Lord when I could have been a better person when I could have helped others and I didn’t. There will have been times this last week when I have forgotten to thank you for your blessings in my life and I have taken you and others for granted. This week I have not always taken the time to pray and to tell others about your goodness and your grace. Praise be Lord for you are all forgiving and I need that forgiveness in my life right now. Father forgive me for my sins and my sins of omission. Look down on me with love and bless me so that I know that I am forgiven and I will strive harder this week to be all that you command me to be. Amen.
📖 Psalm 92:1-2
"It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night."

Sunday Prayer for a Peaceful Sunday
Lord, this is a day of rest as you command us to take. In the Bible, you ask that we do not do business on a Sunday, that even the tax collector refrains from collections so that we have a day to honor you, Lord. Bring me that sense of peace and tranquility this day so that I can spend the day in peace and reflection of your love. Let me surround myself with thoughts only of you and my family and loved ones. Grant me a stress-free day and help me to take time out to just be one with you Lord and to dedicate my time to prayer and my family and loved ones. Make me strong in resisting the temptation to allow my thoughts to go to the worries of the week and the job I have ahead. Give me the peace and space to just be with your love and blessed by your grace to spend the day in quiet and conflict-free hours. Amen.
📖 Psalm 5:3
"O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch."

Sunday Prayer for a Successful Week Ahead
Lord, I know this is the sabbath and the time here is for peace and reflection and contemplation of your word. I am trying to keep holy the sabbath but my worries for the week ahead keep intruding in my time and my heart. Help me to understand that I can trust you completely to look after me in all my endeavors for the week ahead. I have a busy week and not enough time to do everything, and there are demands on me in every way. I feel stressed already and feel the worry of the week weighing heavily upon me. Look down and bring me the blessing of peace of mind in the knowledge that you will carry me when I stumble and will help me in all my endeavors this week. Lord let me put my week in your hands knowing that you will help me with everything I try to do. Amen.
📖 Lamentations 3:22-23
"The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Sunday Morning Prayer for Those in Need
Lord let not his day pass without me thanking you for all that you have provided me in life, for the food on my table for the love that surrounds me. I am blessed to have all that I need in life and I know that you have provided me with the means to provide for myself and others and you have brought people who love me into my life. I am asking you to turn your attention to those in need on this Sabbath, to those who are homeless, hungry, tired and sick. There are many people suffering for all sorts of reasons and on this Sabbath, I ask that you listen to my prayer as I ask that you shine your light on the less fortunate and bring them some relief from their suffering. I ask that you bless those less fortunate than me and that you carry those souls that need your help the most. I ask this on the day of rest in the sure and certain knowledge that you are love God and that when you touch the lepers they are cured. You bring love and hope when you enter the hearts of men, and there are those in need of that touch Lord. Lord, I pray. Amen.
📖 1 John 1:9
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Sunday Prayer for All Children
Lord, on this special day, look down upon the children of the earth and help them go carefree and safe about their day. These children deserve your care as they are innocents in the world and will grow up to be your foot soldiers and to pass on your message to their children. Bless all the little children in their rest and play and bring love into all their lives this day. Amen.
📖 Philippians 4:6-7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
