Allow him to draw comfort and relief from me.

Heavenly Father, I come to You today to beg You to save (Pet’s name). Remove the disease that ravages his body, hurting him and giving him pain and misery.

Dear Father, (Pet’s name) is in so much pain. He grows weaker as the hours pass, and I know that it won’t be long now before he passes on. But for now, during his last moments on this earth with those who love him sitting around him, I ask that You draw his pain away, to ease his suffering and give him peace and comfort.
I ask that You fill his heart with Your love and with resilience and courage to face the next few hours till You come for him. Until his suffering ends, help him face it with the same unbridled energy that he faced everything else in his life with. He is the strongest, bravest, and most loving dog I know, but he could use Your help and Your energy to guide him this last mile.
I pray to You to comfort him, to let him know how much better my life is because he is in it. I ask that his last moments are filled with comfort, peace, and contentment for a life well-lived.
