God, our refuge, we grieve over the loss of our loved one. We’re left with an emptiness and a longing that only the presence of our loved ones can fill. Comfort us, Father.
Let Your peace settle our hearts and renew our hope. Please pour out Your divine love over each one of our family members and close friends who miss the company of our loved ones. This is such a heavy time of loss for all of us. Please be near and comfort us with Your presence.
Help me see the reasons I can rejoice even while I grieve over this great loss. Lighten the burden as the days pass by.

Loving Father, this time of loss weighs heavy on our hearts and minds. Our loved ones meant so much to every one of us. We can’t help but think of all the times we shared together. We can’t help but also think of the times we should still be spending together right now.
This fills us with sadness and regret. Please distract our minds from these negative wonderings and emotions. Help us remember the good times we shared with our loved one, who has now passed away. Let our memories be filled with good and happy times. Steer our minds into letting our loved one stay alive in our minds by bringing to mind all that he/she has done for us and others.
Let his/her legacy be an encouragement to us. May we celebrate the good life our loved ones lived on this earth. And may this inspire us to build our own legacy of goodwill to others.

God of Strength, uphold me today. The pain is so intense. I feel fear and anger building up. I ask that You will relieve me of all these unhealthy emotions that are building up because of the loss of a loved one.
The grief is just too much, and I don’t know how to handle it. I’m even struggling to pray and think of Your plan for my life in this situation. Dear God, please help me deal with this loneliness over the loss of my loved one. You know my pain and struggle at this time. I feel deserted. I expected us to stay together for many more years. But you’ve taken our loved one away. Lord, I know You are good.
Help me to keep trusting You and let me see all the ways that You are here with me now. Don’t let me give in to the lies that whisper that You have forgotten me. I’ve lost my loved one, please don’t forsake me now. I fix my eyes on You today. I choose Your peace.

Welcome our loved one into Your holy presence. Receive him/her into glory, as the Bible has promised to those who trust in You. When we lose someone we love, it is natural to feel grief and sorrow. But as Christians, we know that death is not the end. We have the hope of eternal life with God in heaven.
This promise is found in many places in the Bible, including John 14:27. In this verse, Jesus tells us not to be troubled or afraid when he leaves this world.
The death of a loved one can be a difficult time, but we can find comfort in knowing that they are in heaven with God. They are not feeling pain and the sorrow is just felt because we miss them.
No eye has seen no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. – Corinthians 2:9
The Bible is clear that death is not the end. In fact, it is only the beginning of eternity. For those who have a love for God, death is only a door that leads to an unimaginable future full of His goodness and glory.
This life is but a fleeting moment in comparison to the endless joys of heaven. As Christians, we believe that our loved ones who have passed away are not really gone. They are just waiting for us in heaven, and one day we will be reunited with them again. In the meantime, we can take comfort in knowing that they are safe and happy in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
