Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
It is consoling to know that God has promised to protect His people in a world plagued by conflicts and perils of all kinds.
We may not all be fighting in a physical war, but we are all up against an enemy who wants to steal, murder, and destroy. We must always keep in mind that our God is stronger than evil. We find security in God when we choose to make Him our sanctuary. God envelops us in His love, strength, and protection.
Nothing anyone can think of can fight against the guaranteed promises of safety found in God’s Word. He has given us a place of shelter that is ours to keep.
Psalms 20:1
May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
God is our refuge and our shelter. He shields us from peril, anguish, and disaster. He fortifies us and provides us with a haven as a shield of evil. Nothing bad can happen to us when God is around.
No matter the situation, God’s protection makes you untouchable to the enemy.
It is said in Scripture that God surrounds, embraces, covers, and shelters those who make Him their refuge. You are always unreachable to the enemy because of His presence which acts as a force field of protection.
Proverbs 19:23
The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm.
With a cloak of light, God has covered us. With His glory, He has covered us. Because we are a mirror of God’s likeness, we are the carriers of this glory.
When we are filled with Him, He goes everywhere we go. God is in us, and we should be a messenger of His love and presence. He has clothed and shielded us in a cloak of brightness. Even while we may not always be able to see it, all spirits can see and discern God’s splendor in us.
Proverbs 18:10
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
Even if the Holy Spirit dwells inside you, you must constantly strengthen your faith so that no evil can touch you. You must be aware of God’s promises of protection and firmly hold them in your heart if you want to experience His protection. For your faith to be firm, you must understand God’s word.
You can use the knowledge of God’s word to protect yourself by using it as a shield. Have the fortitude to avoid hearing any bad news. Do not lose heart in the face of difficulties; keep your heart focused on the word of God.
Instead of focusing on the circumstance, remember His promises. Defy the devil. Take a seat in the Most High’s shelter and remain there.
In your name, I pray, Amen.
Proverbs 30:5
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
In that hidden space with God, you have everything you need. Hold on to what the Bible says and do so with confidence. Have faith that the Lord will provide the righteous with protection and favor those around them. God wants to use you and surround you with blessings.
Without strong faith, it is difficult to remain in God’s haven of safety. Become a part of the Lord. Make it a priority to spend time with God each day and pursue His word. Let God be the center of your life, and let everything else revolve around Him.
When you turn to God, He will always keep His promises. You must do your part since He has granted you free will. If you choose to turn to the Lord as your sanctuary, you must also follow through with your actions. This entails trusting in God, rebuking sin, relying on His word, and declaring God’s truths when you are confronted with evil.
