Jesus loved kids. He wants kids to approach Him freely and with an open heart. We should teach our children how to say prayers for kids so that they can forge a deeper relationship with Jesus, even at a young age.
In the book of Proverbs, it is written that we should train up a child in the way they should go so that even when they grow old, they will not depart from it. So while they are young, develop in them the habit of praying.
The prayers don’t need to be long and wordy. God knows what we need before we even pray. It’s not the length of the prayer that matters. It’s the heart of the believer that God looks into. Let’s teach our children to have a heart like that of David.
Let us pray.

Short Prayer For Kids
God our Father in Heaven, we stand before You in prayer, humble before Your great presence. We lift up to You and pray for the children of believers.
Lord Jesus, You said that whenever two or three are gathered in Your Name, there You will be. We humbly ask for Your presence beside us.
We know that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective, yet we claim no righteousness of our own other than the righteousness of our Lord Jesus.
Lord, we lift up and pray for these children whom You’ve entrusted to these parents to guide and mold according to Your will. May the parents recognize early Your purpose for their kids, and may You strengthen their faith as they obey and mold the children according to Your plan.
Protect the children and keep them away from danger and harm. Surround the kids with Your angels, especially during the times when the parents are not with them.
Guide them and mold them to be Christlike. Teach them Your values, and may they take these to heart. Lead them away from harmful influences that will draw them away from You. Lead them towards that which is good and pleasing.
Prune their character, Lord, and remove the tendency to commit sin. Surround with good influences who will firmly but gently lead them to the right path. While the kids are malleable, let only Christian influences mold their hearts and minds.
Help them to obey their parents and other authorities in their life joyfully. Do not let them foster a rebellious heart. Bless their families and surround them with a caring and nurturing environment.
Help them in their schoolwork and may they enjoy learning and have a genuine thirst for it. May they discover their God-given gifts and talents early. May they use these to serve You and glorify You.
May You guide them and be with them always. In Jesus’ name, we pray. And God’s people said, “Amen!”.
